Got a late start this morning. Seeds in the rack are progressing well. The sun yesterday dried out the tops of the soil blocks so I gave them a light misting.
Becca and I ran to the farm store in Wellborn to pick up some seeds that I couldn’t find online. Bush shelling peas, Genovese basil, and some flowers to experiment with.
After that, we went into Bryan to the Farm Patch to pick up a few fall flowers to fill in some pots. As always, we left with more than we expected. This time it was Meyer Lemon and Satsuma trees. We’ve always wanted to try out some fruit trees and these are something we enjoy. They are both very well suited for our climate, even throughout the winter. Right now they are in 2 gal. plastic pots which should be good enough for another year or two. Easy to move into the garage during a big freeze too.
Later in the day we got some of those seeds started in more soil blocks. This time around I thought it would be handy to film the process, so look out for that video coming soon.
